Disadvantages of Running Outside

unaccustomed to strenuous exercise or have heart conditions can easily

more predictable surface than outside sidewalks, curbs or trails. Speed,
incline, warm-up period, cool down and energy expenditure can all be

needs. Some treadmills can count steps and have heart rate monitors to
track fitness. Running on a treadmill burns calories faster than indoor
biking. You can watch television or read while running, which keeps
things interesting.
Disadvantages of the Treadmill for Running
Treadmills can be expensive — some cost more than $2,000. The
cushioned surface may still put too much impact on the back or hips,
knees and ankle joints. Treadmills can take up a lot of space, and many
homes don’t have places for them. When they break down, they must be
fixed by a professional. Some are loud and thus interfere with other
nearby activities. Some people find them boring after awhile, because
the scenery never changes.
